HOW IT GOT STARTED

History of the Scallywags

Founded in the fall of 2004 by a group of ragtag barefoot frisbee enthusiasts. Calling themselves BUF for Bulls Ultimate Frisbee they hoped to have legendary battles, win championships, and acquire a female following that would rival that of The Beatles. Unfortunately, in the early stages of the club, they only accomplished a third of the goals. They didn't have a shiny trophy in the case or a group of sexy wenches adhering to every physical need. Something needed to change...

Legend says is was during a rainy 2006 Saturday night gathering that the Scallywags were born. Over the years players graduated and ideologies changed. No longer wanting to be the frisbee enthusiasts of BUF, it was time to become a true ultimate team. A vote was put up to change BUF and the image of the club, it began with a vote to become either pirates or ninjas. Pirates won out over ninjas 14-13, and the rest is Wags history.

History of Scourge

In the 2008-09 school year the club expanded to include a B-team, Scourge. In its first year it was led by infamous Scallywags player/coach Dave Fain. Scourge's main goal was and still is the pure appreciation of the game of ultimate. Scourge players can't get enough of ultimate's competitiveness, the layouts, the way you can make a friend in an instant through ultimate. Scourge continues to become a more formidable force every year.
